Pedigree, Commitement, Expertise

Few UK forwarders can claim a pedigree of 50 years. Immediate Transportation Ltd has been trading for 92 years. In an industry where few executives remain long with one company, all of Immediate Transportation's directors and senior managers have been with the firm for 20 years and longer. This gives the company continuity of commitment, contacts and expertise.
Immediate Transportation's business rests on sea freight, air freight, road freight and all aspects of warehousing. Its service portfolio also includes logistics management, now its fastest growing business. The management discipline of the early years is now an integral part of its operations. For manufacturers logistics has become an indispensable management tool. Using supply chain management, firms can reduce inventory, use their capital more efficiently, improve customer service and client relations. Growth of logistics management. The contract that Immediate Transportation Ltd won from BAA involved the provision of logistics services for work on Heathrow's Terminal 5. It extends for two and a half years and was gained in competition from many other and larger transportation companies. Staff from Immediate Transportation have been seconded to work alongside BAA personnel. The result has added impetus to the company's aim of growing its logistics management business. More recently Immediate Transportation Ltd have won the logistics management contract for Otis elevators.
Every aspect of its sea freight operations are covered by ISO 9002. As a long established multimodal forwarder, the company has formed its own vehicle fleet, has substantial warehousing facilities and offices throughout the UK and in New York.
