Specific equipment is available to accommodate most cargo, including open top and temperature controlled containers, and for ease of loading we can deliver containers with special equipment to place them at ground level.
There are five common standard lengths of containers, 20 ft (6.1 m), 40 ft (12.2 m), 45 ft (13.7 m), 48 ft (14.6 m), and 53 ft (16.2 m) - Please note 48 ft or 53 ft containers are not available from the Far East. US domestic standard containers are generally 48 ft and 53 ft (rail and truck). Container capacity is measured in twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU, or sometimes teu). A twenty-foot equivalent unit is a measure of containerized cargo capacity equal to one standard 20 ft (length) ? 8 ft (width) ? 8 ft 6 in (height) container.
LCL - (Less Than Container Load)
For consignments that are less than a full container load Immdeiate Transport is able to offer customers the benefits of consolidated cargo services between most of the major industrial centres of the world.Regular containerised consolidation (LCL) services to and from most major ports.
